Maison du Chat provides high-quality professional cat care in private homes across Frankfurt. Our clients entrust us with their cats and their homes. That is why we work exclusively with employed, trained and insured cat sitters. No freelancers, no one-off jobs arranged through platforms, no anonymous assignments.

What you can expect from us
- Real employment rather than gig work: an employment contract, payslips, insurance coverage and statutory entitlements such as paid leave and continued pay during illness.
- Fair, transparent pay: €16.00 gross per paid hour. In addition to the visit time, 15 minutes of travel time between assignments is paid for each visit.
- You are never on your own: every assignment is backed by our Operations team, with clear procedures, support in emergencies and a reachable contact person if something unexpected happens on site.
- Thoughtful scheduling: visits are planned as close to your home as possible and sensibly grouped.
Thoroughly prepared
During your first months, you will learn step by step everything you need for your assignments at Maison du Chat – and of course this time is paid. Topics include cat care and feeding, feline behaviour and calm handling, health observation, first aid, and key and home security. Where relevant to your assignments, you will also receive appropriate instruction in administering medication. You will also accompany experienced team members on visits.
Our two employment models
- Regular part-time employment: A standard part-time employment contract with 10 guaranteed, paid hours per week. Assignments are agreed together and planned in advance.
- Short-term employment: Flexible assignments, particularly during school holidays, on public holidays and at especially busy times. You decide which assignments you accept.
Sunday and public-holiday premiums apply under our compensation policy in both models.
